Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Hussein El Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, conducted inspection tours of several academic programmes to monitor the mid-semester examinations for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The visits focused on ensuring the orderly conduct of examinations, verifying compliance with the regulations and procedures in place, and ensuring that students had a suitable environment in which to complete their assessments comfortably. The directors of the respective programmes accompanied the visits.
Prof. Tamer Samir reaffirmed the University’s commitment to maintaining an examination system characterised by discipline, transparency and equal opportunities for all students. He explained that mid semester examinations are an important means of monitoring academic progress and assessing students’ understanding of their course material. They also help identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement, informing the University’s continued efforts to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. He stressed the importance of addressing any difficulties students might encounter to ensure that examinations proceed smoothly and fulfil their academic objectives.
Prof. Hussein El Maghraby also conducted inspection tours across the University’s academic programmes to assess compliance with academic standards and examination regulations and to ensure that appropriate conditions were maintained in examination halls.
He emphasised the importance of continuous on site monitoring throughout the examination period, as well as ensuring that examination questions remain aligned with course content and intended learning outcomes. These measures, he noted, are essential to ensuring fairness in assessment and maintaining a calm, well organised environment in which students can concentrate and perform to the best of their abilities.
