As part of its efforts to enhance its role in achieving academic excellence and institutional development, Benha National University organized an intensive workshop on strategic planning, attended by Prof. Tamer Samir, the university president, Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, the vice president for academic affairs, Prof. Karim El-Dash, the vice president for international relations, as well as program directors and several faculty members and administrators.
The workshop aims to establish a clear future vision for the university that aligns with sustainable development requirements and Egypt's Vision 2030, through launching the university's strategic plan, discussing strategic objectives, setting priorities, and formulating action plans that contribute to improving academic and administrative performance.
During the workshop, Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the importance of strategic planning as a fundamental tool for achieving institutional success and keeping pace with global developments in higher education. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts among all members of the university community to ensure the achievement of the desired goals.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby clarified that this workshop represents a pivotal step in developing academic programs at the university, highlighting the importance of continuously updating curricula to meet the requirements of the local and international job market. He also affirmed the role of faculty members in enhancing the quality of education and scientific research through the implementation of innovative strategic plans.
Prof. Fatima Abdel Wahab, a professor at the Faculty of Education, presented the workshop, where SWOT analysis was discussed as part of the session. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges facing the university were examined, aiding in the formulation of effective strategies to achieve future goals and characteristics of excellence.
The workshop also witnessed significant interaction from participants, who provided innovative ideas and constructive suggestions for developing academic programs and enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.
